Hike a Pup Strutting Out

December 22, 2014

Today we hiked 4 miles in Brookline, NH. My Fit Bit clocked me in as climbing 28 flights of stairs which shows how hilly the terrain was.

Katie, one of the regular Golden Retriever hikers, deciding whether she should jump. Notice how a past New England farmer ended a stone wall at the granite “cliff” and started out again at the top!

Maple, an energetic Golden Doodle, bounding over another dog. She jumped over a 5 foot high stone wall today. What an athlete.

Note the beautiful stone wall running down the hill in the background. This is Ketli, my Chocolate Labrador Retriever,  investigating with Cabot while Emma, my 14 year old Golden Retriever, rolls to her heart’s delight in one of the softest, thickest moss beds we have come across on any of our hikes in Hollis or Brookline ( NH) .

What a great hike. Such a pleasure for all the dogs and their person ( me! ).
