Thanksgiving Turkey Backyard Visitor

November 20, 2013

Hollis, New Hampshire… Gobble, Gobble. Tom Turkey visited our backyard. What luck we had to capture this self-assured turkey so close to our house. We love this photograph and what it shows about southern New Hampshire wildlife sightings.

I’m amazed that you grabbed a camera rather than your BB gun. You could have blasted a few holes in this big bird and provided our Thanksgiving feast.

    • Ha ha. I am still shocked that I killed that goldfinch instantly. Ketli was running around that day. I could have drilled a hole or two into her by mistake. Blame it on Jeanette’s boyfriend, Joe Baum, for inspiring me to set up targets to practice my aim. AND to my sometimes ridiculous competitive nature.

    • BYW. You bought the bb gun to kill annoying birds in the backyard. Not me. I am just getting blood thirsty in my old age.

    • Maybe another year. 🍗
