What a Relief…the Beginning of a Puppy/Dog Friendship

August 29, 2013

I was worried that my two older dogs would never give the puppy a chance. Well, here you see Cabot playing with her. Earlier in the day he had even teased her by stealing her toys and playing Keep Away. I just did not have a camera nearby but grabbed one for this. Very out of focus which shows how fast Ketli zips and rolls around him. I was shocked he was suddenly so patient after holding her in disdain.

An added benefit is that on rainy days when we are indoors more than outdoors I can now hope that she can exercise and get out some energy by playing crazily with my 10 year old golden retriever. And it makes me feel good that he now has a new, more energized playmate as Emma gets even slower and stiffer. I’ ll let you know if my alpha female gives in and allows Ketli to play with her.

Sorry for the ads. WordPress added that feature and the only way to get rid of it is to pay. I do not have any choice on what they put up. Please ignore.
